“Georgian Dream” MP Tea Tsulukiani Insults Journalist Nanuka Jorjoliani and Attempts to Discredit Her

Former Georgian Minister of Culture and Justice and current “Georgian Dream” MP Tea Tsulukiani insulted television host Nanuka Jorjoliani and attempted to discredit her using a doctored photo.

Tsulukiani published a lengthy, insulting post about the journalist along with an AI-generated photomontage showing Jorjoliani allegedly alongside the late convicted sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein, on social media. The post was Tsulukiani’s response to the conclusion of a court case she had with Nanuka Jorjoliani.

Tsulukiani had filed a lawsuit against Jorjoliani over a social media post concerning her father, former judge Avtandil Tsulukiani. In the post, published on April 12, 2025, Jorjoliani wrote, “Tsulukiani’s father shot the following people,” listing 20 individuals. She also stated, “This was a transitional period when the death penalty was being abolished, and Judge Tsulukiani could apply another maximum sentence.”

Tsulukiani sued Jorjoliani in July 2025. She demanded that two statements be recognized as defamatory: “Tsulukiani’s father shot the following people” and “This was a transitional period when the death penalty was being abolished, and Judge Tsulukiani could apply another maximum sentence.” On February 6, 2026, Judge Ketevan Kurtskhalia upheld both of Tsulukiani’s claims.

“Nanuli has become so petty that she even presented a not-so-old newspaper interview of one of the ‘shot’ people as evidence,” Tsulukiani wrote in a lengthy post after the court decision. Pro-government TV channel “Rustavi 2” published her post in full on its website, where in the comments, supporters of “Georgian Dream,” as well as likely trolls and bots, continued to insult and verbally attack Nanuka Jorjoliani.
