Meeting in Batumi on the Accessibility of Public Information

On July 25, 2024, the Center for Media, Information, and Social Research held a meeting in Batumi on the issue of access to public information. The meeting was attended by journalists, representatives from the civil sector and academia, as well as students.

Discussion on Public Information in Marneuli and Akhaltsikhe

On June 28, 2024, the Center for Media, Information, and Social Research held meetings in Marneuli, and on July 6 in Akhaltsikhe. We spoke with citizens, media representatives, and civil society members about public information at the Marneuli Civic Activism and Engagement Center and at the South Gate office in Akhaltsikhe.

Public Information, Media, and Citizen Engagement – Meetings in Gori

On April 3, 2024, the Center for Media, Information, and Social Research held meetings in Gori on the topic of public information, media, and citizen engagement. The center’s representative, Mamuka Andguladze, spoke with students about access to public information for journalists and citizens.

The invited expert, Nanuka Krushvili, introduced students at Gori State University to the key aspects of civic engagement and discussed the role of public information in fostering citizen involvement.

A workshop on access to public information was also held with local media and civil society representatives, hosted by the Georgian Media Group.
